My first Pilates class was in a school library in Minnesota in 2000. After having my first baby, it just felt like really good movement; I felt taller, more relaxed and unusually stronger, so I went with it. Fast forward to 2007, I had been taking Community Mat classes for 7 years and saw and felt the benefits of Pilates in so many ways, so I decided I wanted to teach it myself. I attended Instructor training classes through Lifetime Fitness, where, after years of training, I became a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor through Peak Pilates. I am certified in Mat, Reformer, Pilates Chair, Spine Corrector, Barrel and Ped o Pull. I love to teach. I love to see the change in people's bodies, and in their lives, as they become stronger and more confident in their movement. I've trained all types of people over the years, and would love to help you too.

Hi, I’m Beth, a newly qualified Pilates instructor currently working towards completing my Level 5 training. My Pilates journey began over a year before I started instructor training, and I quickly fell in love with the method and the positive impact it has on both the body and mind. Movement has always been a big part of my life. Growing up, I trained in gymnastics and dance, which gave me a strong appreciation for body awareness, strength, flexibility, and technique. Pilates felt like a natural progression, combining all of these elements while helping people move with greater confidence and control. I am passionate about creating supportive and enjoyable classes where clients can improve their strength, mobility, posture, and overall well being. Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or looking to develop your practice, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and discover the benefits of movement.

Ailey is a Classical Pilates Instructor currently completing her comprehensive teacher training through Defining You Pilates in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was born and raised. Having completed her Level 3 certification, she is continuing her studies toward the full Level 5 certification in 2026. Movement has always been a part of Ailey's life. Growing up involved in sports, mainly cross country and track, Pilates has now become an essential part of supporting her running. Whether training for a race or simply running with friends, she has experienced firsthand how Pilates helps prevent injuries and allows her to move with greater ease. Having recently graduated from university with a degree in Marketing and Business, Ailey realised that her passion lies in working directly with people and making a meaningful difference in their lives. Drawn to the Classical method, she is passionate about preserving its original principles and helping educate others. She believes Pilates is far more than exercise; it is a practice that develops strength, body awareness, and resilience that goes far beyond the studio. Ailey's goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and comfortable exactly as they are. She understands that people walk into the studio carrying different challenges, stresses, and experiences, and she hopes each client leaves feeling stronger, more connected to themselves, and a little lighter than when they arrived. As she continues her education, Ailey looks forward to expanding her work with a wide range of clients, including athletes and older adults, helping maintain strength, mobility, and independence throughout every stage of life.

I have always had a passion for fitness, movement and wellbeing. I have been in the fitness industry for 34 years and 24 of these years I was also a full-time college lecturer in Sports Science, Sports Therapy and Fitness Health & Exercise. Although starting teaching aerobics, spin, aqua and step-based exercise sessions I then discovered Pilates. I trained in Mat Pilates in 2004 at the Pilates Institute in London with Michael King and 2013 trained in Reformer Pilates at The Yoga Pilates Place in Park Circus , Glasgow. I lecture part time at college now, am an External Verifier for Qualifications Scotland in Fitness, deliver assessor/verfier qualifications for WMTS, deliver Menopause workshops, retreats and training however, Reformer Pilates is my fitness passion and I have been teaching classes in and around studios in Glasgow for the last 13 years. My classes follow a classical Pilates Reformer direction and I bring a holistic and client-focused approach to every session, helping you move better, feel stronger. At The People's Pilates, we believe in a holistic approach to Pilates, combining physical and mental wellbeing. Our classes are designed to help you not only build strength and flexibility, but also reduce stress and improve your overall quality of life.
