The Trial Class is your opportunity to try the equipment without commitment!
If you are more advanced in years and would prefer a slower paced class, please sign up for Active Ageing Trial Class.
If you have some physical limitations, please opt for a Pilates Modified Class.
Everyone else, please sign up for Pilates for Everyone.
You wont be able to see the class schedule beyond the trial classes at the moment, but you will do by the end of November for sure.
You will continue on to the regular schedule where you will learn the Fundamentals and then progress on your journey at your own pace.
Trial classes will remain on the schedule going into December and beyond. It will always be the first stop for someone new to the Studio.
This class is intended for those more advanced in years! The guideline would be around 70 years old, but younger and older people are both welcome for a class that focuses on using the Pilates equipment and method, to work on balance, strength, coordination, memory and anything else that your active lifestyle requires of you.
This class is for people with prior injuries or surgeries or where they might need a slower paced class with some modifications to the usual movements. If you are concerned about joining a class, we suggest taking a few Pilates Private sessions first.
The Pilates Trial Session is for people who don't have any major issues and are fairly active. Whether you have tried Pilates before or this is your first time, the classes are small enough that you will be assisted/challenged depending on your abilities. Please don't hesitate to try it. You wont regret it. And if it's not for you, can you can tell your friends about it for us.
This is your opportunity to try the equipment without the commitment. Look for a Trial Class on the schedule and book yourself in :)
In this four week course you will learn the Fundamentals of Pilates, learn about the equipment , cues, basic connections and studio etiquette to prepare you for your Pilates journey. Sign up before the end of November to get £10 off your Fundamentals Class.

Book a 1:1 session to have a session that's tailored to your ability and movement. The value in a private session is having eyes just on you and at a pace that suits your ability. People find that occasional private sessions helps with their practice in the class setting. The studio may be shared with one other private session, that will not impact your time.
The studio can be booked out for a private Class during off peak times. Please email Jennifer at info@thepeoplespilates.co.uk for more information.

I'm so glad you're interested in learning more about Pilates. My first Pilates class was in a school library in Minnesota in 2000. After having my first baby, it felt like good movement; I felt taller, more relaxed and unusually stronger, so I went with it.
Fast forward to 2007, I had been taking Community Mat classes for 7 years and saw and felt the benefits of Pilates in so many ways, so I decided I wanted to teach it myself. I attended Instructor training classes through Lifetime Fitness, where, after years of training I became a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor through Peak Pilates. I am certified in Mat, Reformer, Pilates Chair, Spine Corrector, Barrel and Ped o Pull.
I love to teach. I love to see the change in people's bodies and in their lives as they become stronger and more confident in their movement.
I've trained all types of people over the years, and would love to help you too.
Please sign up to be first to hear when equipment classes become available.
I repeatedly find my strength in practicing Pilates, I know you can too. Join me at a class soon.
The short answer is, because it works.
What people say is true. You'll find your strongest self buried in the practice of Pilates.
And I don't just mean physical strength: there's a mental and emotional balance that's to be found in practicing the method that Joe Pilates created.
Join me, as I pass on what I know...
